I am in the final semester of my Bachelor of Education at Brandon University, graduating in Spring 2021. I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba in 2009, majoring in Computer Science with a double-minor in Mathematics and Psychology.
I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; I grew up in the city and met my now-husband there. In 2013, we traded in the city life, packed up our four dogs and moved to a small acerage in Treherne, Manitoba. In 2017, our family grew by one human when our daughter, Anelie Nash was born.
My teaching journey hunbly began while in high school as a basketball coach. For over 20 years, volunteering has brought me enjoyment and fuelled a passion for connecting with today's youth. In 2016, I took on the local high school girls basketball program in St. Claude/Treherne. In 2018, I began working at the local elementary school as the Librarian. Interacting with students and being a part of their day to day lives affirmed my interest for teaching and in April 2019, I returned to university to complete my Eduation degree.
I've fallen in love with country living and spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoors, in the garden and walking our dogs. I care about contributing to my community and making a difference for today's youth, both in the classroom and on the basketball court.
Thanks for stopping by my site!
Deanne
